ReadMe / TES - The Electric Slave
======================================================================
I know TES will make you scream & shout, since it adds more power to
any CLI-Window. But...why? Well, TES offers you 7 Gadgets which may be
assigned to any CLI-command! So you don't have to type <DIR DF0:> ...
just assign Gadget "U0" to <DIR DF0:> - click it - and the cmd will be
executed.
Important note
--------------
TES has to be the very first (!) task started after the CLI - Window
opens, since it searches Intuition's FirstWindow. In other words: no
other windows should open before TES is running.
The reason isn't very hard to guess: CLI-msgs or text (directories,..)
are sent to the current CLI-window. So when TES powers up and finds
any other window that's already open, it believes it's a CLI-window.
So text is sent to the wrong window and you'll never see it!
Assigning Gadgets
-----------------
Assigning commands to TES' Gadgets is a bit tricky, since you have to
compile TES each time you wish to change the assignment. Yeah, I know,
that's what you call bullshit, but Im too tired to add a feature that
allows to simply create a command-file that's read when TES powers up.
Just have a look at TES.c to see where to insert your own commands.
There are four pre-defined Gadgets. Try them. TES should be compiled
with Aztec 3.4a.
